Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation Continues to Support Grace

Grace Medical Home relies on the generosity of donors to support our mission to serve uninsured individuals and families in Orange County. Ongoing support from the Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation will allow Grace to care for our more than 300 pediatric patients.

The Kiwanis Club of Orlando is one of the most active and involved community service organizations in Central Florida. For over 100 years, Kiwanis Club employees and volunteers have served the needs of underprivileged children through various service projects and programs. Their longest-running service project is the Orlando Day Nursery, which provides daycare for working parents with limited resources.

While the club provides services, the Foundation provides grants and financial support to community organizations aligned with their mission. "The Foundation's core mission is to support other nonprofits in the area that serve children and youth. We know this is one of Grace Medical Home's priorities," said Matt West, the Foundation president.

Grace is one of many organizations the Foundation supports. Previous support from the Foundation covered the cost of outfitting pediatric patient exam rooms. The current grant from the Foundation enables Grace to continue providing direct care for the many pediatric patients who visit every day.

Kiwanis Club Board Member, Tom Porter, shared that on-site visits at Grace assured the Foundation that Grace would serve the pediatric community well. "When we do on-site visits, everyone on staff participates, and it demonstrates how well Grace is run. All of the indicators from our interactions put Grace Medical Home at the top," Porter said.

Contributions from the Kiwanis Club of Orlando include funds and members' time. Members recently volunteered to prepare and serve food for our summer staff celebration. Thank you for your continued generosity!
