Led by one of Dr. Brooks’ former patients, Bishop Freddie Patton, the entire Grace team prayed for Dr. Brooks at her retirement gathering.
With hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate the remarkable service of Dr. Sherry Brooks, who retired after 15 years of faithful leadership as Grace Medical Home’s Adult Medical Director.
From the moment she joined Grace, Dr. Brooks became more than a physician—she became a tireless advocate, mentor, and champion for our patients. Guided by compassion, rooted in faith, and driven by excellence, she helped shape Grace into Central Florida’s trusted medical home for those without insurance.
Dr. Brooks consistently went above and beyond, ensuring that each patient not only received the best care within our walls but also had access to vital services through our community partners. A staunch patient advocate, she modeled what it means to lead with your heart, mentoring our Gap Year Interns, staff, and volunteers to do the same. She was often one of the very first to greet new volunteer providers, sharing her own experiences at Grace and inspiring others to join in our mission of healing and hope.
Her advocacy, mentorship, and steadfast commitment to dignity in healthcare have left a legacy that will ripple through the lives of our patients, families, and community for years to come.
As Dr. Brooks begins her well-earned next chapter, we extend our deepest thanks and prayers. Her impact at Grace will be felt every time a patient is welcomed, cared for, and uplifted. We are forever grateful for the way she poured her heart into this mission.
Please join us in celebrating Dr. Brooks’ retirement and honoring her extraordinary 15 years of service to Grace Medical Home.
